Demonstration of the Apostolic Preaching · §19

Flood in the tenth generation; Noah’s ark; Shem Ham Japheth

When the justice of God, to chastise the world, unleashed the flood, ten generations after the creation of the first human being, only one just man was found — Noah. (; 1 Pet 3:20) Because of his righteousness he was saved, and with him his wife and his three sons, and the three wives of his sons; they were shut up in the ark with all the animals that God had designated to Noah to bring in with him. (ark)

And as the destroying scourge had extended to all — to human beings and even to the animals that were upon the earth — the stock of these beings was preserved in the ark. The three sons of Noah were Shem, Ham, and Japheth, by whom the race was multiplied again; they were the stem of humankind after the flood. (Gen 9:18-19)
