Moses dies; Jesus son of Nun; Jerusalem and Temple
And when Moses had finished the course of his life, it was said to him from God: ‘Go up this mountain and die; for you shall not bring my people into this land.’ (Dt 32:48-52; Dt 34:1-5) Moses died according to the word of the Lord, and Jesus son of Nun succeeded him.
He divided the Jordan, led the people into the promised land, and after subduing and destroying the seven peoples who lived there, he portioned it out to the people. (Josh 3–4; Josh 11:23)
There is Jerusalem, where David reigned and Solomon his son. Solomon built the Temple for God’s honor, taking as model the tabernacle Moses had made after the pattern of heavenly and spiritual realities. (2 Sam 5:5-9; 1 Kgs 6; Heb 8:5)
