Word made visible: communion and the yoke of death broken
Now it is he who has joined the human being to God and has worked the communion between God and the human being. Had he not come to us, we could in no way have shared in incorruptibility. (2 Pet 1:4) That incorruptibility was invisible and hidden from our eyes, and it did us no good. The Word made himself visible in order to make us able to share fully in incorruptibility. (Jn 1:14)
As by creation we all depend on our first father Adam, so we have all been bound to death because of his disobedience; it was necessary to shatter death’s yoke by the obedience of the one who became human for us. (Rom 5:19; 1 Cor 15:22)
