To Florus 1.128

Nothing is more contradictory than saying “all” and “not all”. You say that God the potter makes everyone for condemnation. The apostle says that not everyone is for condemnation and not everyone for honor. I will explain the worth of this statement in its proper place. Even in the wording of the statement, however, there is plainly a great disagreement between you. The potter who shapes everyone for condemnation is not the same as the one Paul says fashions some for honor. You do not believe in the one proclaimed by that admirable teacher, because your potter shapes everyone for condemnation, while the apostle's potter shapes very many for glory (compare Romans 9:21).
