To Florus 2.225

‘For if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall live with Christ, knowing that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more; death will no longer rule over him. For the death he died to sin, he died once, but the life he lives, he lives to God. So you too reckon yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus’ (Romans 6:8–11). Just as Christ, he says, died to sin once—that is, died because of our sins once—and dies no more, but lives in God’s glory, so you too, reckoning yourselves dead to sin, should live and serve virtues alone.
