The varieties of expression whose service I use, and which you not only fail to imitate but even attack, were developed by refinement in Greek and Latin, not in every language. Other languages are called natural because subsequent cultivation has brought them neither richness nor polish; they use entirely simple names for bodily parts. Thus among the Hebrews, in whose language Scripture’s purity is contained, everything is indicated by its own proper word.
