You are from below; I am from above
And he said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.”
“From below” and “from above” signify not place alone but choice and way of life.

Καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· Ὑμεῖς ἐκ τῶν κάτω ἐστέ, ἐγὼ ἐκ τῶν ἄνω εἰμί· ὑμεῖς ἐκ τούτου τοῦ κόσμου ἐστέ, ἐγὼ οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου.
Οὐ τὸν τόπον μόνον ἀλλὰ τὴν προαίρεσιν καὶ τὴν πολιτείαν σημαίνει τὸ ἐκ τῶν κάτω καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἄνω εἶναι.
