If anyone keeps my word, he will not see death forever
“Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”
The cause of their not knowing his meaning is not keeping the word; the one who keeps it does not see eternal death.

Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ἐάν τις τὸν ἐμὸν λόγον τηρήσῃ, θάνατον οὐ μὴ θεωρήσῃ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.
Αἴτιον, φησίν, ἐστὶ τοῦ ὑμῖν μὴ γινώσκεσθαι τὴν ἐμὴν διάνοιαν τὸ μὴ τηρεῖν τὸν λόγον· ὁ τηρῶν οὐ θεωρεῖ τὸν θάνατον τὸν αἰώνιον.
