I honor my Father; every word of Jesus is a leaf that does not fall

Clearly the Savior’s voice is “I honor the Father” — which we should strive to say with conscience bearing witness.

Being himself the tree of life as Wisdom, none of his words is to be taken casually; no leaf of his falls away.

Δῆλον πῶς τοῦ σωτῆρός ἐστιν φωνὴ τὸ Τιμῶ τὸν πατέρα, ἥντινα φιλοτιμητέον συμμαρτυρούσης τῆς συνειδήσεως εἰπεῖν.

Αὐτὸς ὢν τὸ ξύλον τῆς ζωῆς κατὰ τὸ εἶναι σοφία, οὐδένα λόγον αὐτοῦ ὡς ἔτυχεν ἐκδεκτέον· πᾶν φύλλον αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἀπορρεῖ.
