If you are Abraham’s children, do Abraham’s works
They answered, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you are Abraham’s children, do the works of Abraham.”
Saying “Our father is Abraham” does not make children; doing Abraham’s works does.

Ἀπεκρίθησαν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν Ἀβραάμ ἐστιν. λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Εἰ τέκνα τοῦ Ἀβραάμ ἐστε, τὰ ἔργα τοῦ Ἀβραὰμ ποιεῖτε.
Οὐ τὸ λέγειν Ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν Ἀβραάμ ἐστιν ποιεῖ τέκνα, ἀλλὰ τὸ ποιεῖν τὰ ἔργα τοῦ Ἀβραάμ.
