The stronger bear the weak’s sins§1
1On the word You and your sons and your father’s house with you shall bear the sins of the sanctuary: the better always take up the faults of those below. The Apostle says, You who are stronger, bear the weaknesses of the weak. A lay Israelite who sins needs Levite, priest, even high priest; a priest who fails can cleanse his own — unless he sins against God.
