Moses’ intercession and God’s goodness

Moses intercedes for the people. Scripture says God is angry and threatens ruin so that we learn how much place the prayer of the just has with God. If Moses could do so much, how much more may we trust that Jesus our advocate will win sure pardon from the Father — if we turn and our heart does not draw back.

Moyses intercedit pro populo; Deus irasci scribitur et interitum minari ut homo discat quantum apud Deum loci habeat oratio iusti. Si Moyses tantum potuit, quanto magis nos confidamus quod advocatus noster Iesus indubitatam veniam praestabit a Patre, si convertamur et non recedat cor nostrum.
