Image of the invisible God vs earthly image

Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Leave the world wearing only the image of the man of dust and you are nothing in God’s city — bear the heavenly image.

Qui est imago Dei invisibilis primogenitus omnis creaturae. Qui exit de hoc mundo ferens imaginem terreni ad nihilum redigitur in civitate Dei; caelestis imaginis insignia reportet.
