Abraham justified by faith, not works§1

1 If Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about — but not before God. Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.

Quid ergo dicemus invenisse Abraham? Si Abraham ex operibus iustificatus est, habet gloriam sed non apud Deum. Credidit Abraham Deo et reputatum est illi ad iustitiam.

Blessing on the uncircumcised believer§2

2 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven. The blessing reaches the uncircumcised: faith is counted as righteousness apart from works. Glory to Christ. Amen.
