Commentary on Romans, Book VIII

Origen of Alexandria · c. 244–246 · PG 14 (Migne) — Rufinus Latin · Original English Translation

No condemnation; Spirit of life§1

1There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Latin · §1

Nihil ergo nunc damnationis est his qui sunt in Christo Iesu. Lex enim Spiritus vitae in Christo Iesu liberavit me a lege peccati et mortis.

Heirs with Christ; creation groans§2

2If children, then heirs — heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. Creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. Glory to the Spirit. Amen.

Latin · §2

Si filii, et heredes: heredes quidem Dei, coheredes autem Christi. Expectatio creaturae revelationem filiorum Dei expectat. Gloria Spiritui. Amen.
