Daughters of Jerusalem and going out
In Book III the daughters of Jerusalem receive teaching about the soul’s going out: not to go outdoors in the winter of passions, but after calm to obey the Word. Those without dove-eyes think the drama’s letter empty; those who have them recognize winter and spring, rock and foxes in the soul.
