Shaded couch; believers without contemplation
And she recalls it as shaded — not dry, but fruitful and as if wooded with the density of good work. But the Bride says these things — at least the soul that already has dove-eyes. Those who only believe the Bridegroom, yet could not perceive how great is the beauty in God’s Word, say: We saw him, and he had no form.
