Cling to God alone; love with whole soul; after courage, foundations
ON ADORATION AND WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH — BOOK SIX. That we must cling to God alone who is God by nature, and love him from whole soul and heart.
Cyril: Concerning the manliness understood in Christ, then, and spiritual good-strength, a sufficient word has been worked out by us, as it seems, Palladius; yet the things upon which these would come to be from our side it is necessary to look around at, as I think, again.
Palladius: You speak well.
Cyril: Come then already, turning the eye of the mind round in a circle, and going unto exact examination

ΠΕΡΙ ΤΗΣ ΕΝ ΠΝΕΥΜΑΤΙ ΚΑΙ ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑ ΠΡΟΣΚΥΝΗΣΕΩΣ ΚΑΙ ΛΑΤΡΕΙΑΣ ΛΟΓΟΣ ΕΚΤΟΣ. Ὅτι χρὴ Θεῷ τῷ κατὰ φύσιν ἡμᾶς προσκεῖσθαι μόνῳ, καὶ ἀγαπᾷν αὐτὸν ἐξ ὅλης ψυχῆς καὶ καρδίας.
{ΚΥΡ.} Ἀνδρείας μὲν οὖν πέρι τῆς ἐν Χριστῷ νοουμένης, καὶ πνευματικῆς εὐσθενείας ἀποχρῶν, ἡμῖν, ὡς ἔοικεν, ἐκπεποίηται λόγος, ὦ Παλλάδιε· τὰ δὲ ἐφ' οἷς ἂν γένοιτο ταυτὶ πρὸς ἡμῶν, περιαθρεῖν ἀναγκαῖον, καθάπερ ἐγᾦμαι, πάλιν.
{ΠΑΛΛ.} Εὖ λέγεις.
{ΚΥΡ.} Φέρε δὴ οὖν, τῆς διανοίας τὸν ὀφθαλμὸν ἐν κύκλῳ περιελίττοντες, καὶ εἰς ἀκριβῆ κατάσκεψιν
