Rule of truth: prophets, Christ, apostles, Church
Such, my dear friend, is the preaching of the truth and the rule of our salvation; it is also the way that leads to life. (Jn 14:6) The prophets announced it, Christ established it, the apostles transmitted it; everywhere in the world the Church offers it to her children. (1 Tim 3:15)
With all confidence one must follow this way, with a sound will, so as to be pleasing to God by good works and the sincere desire for a perfect manner of life. (Jas 2:17-18; Mt 5:16)
