The white fields: Samaritans already ripe for gathering
Looked at more closely, those coming out of the city to Jesus are fields white for harvest.
For many from that city already believed in him because of the woman’s word.

Τούτων δὴ ἐπὶ πλέον ἐξεταζομένων ἀκόλουθόν ἐστιν ἰδεῖν ὅτι οἱ ἐκ τῆς πόλεως ἐξερχόμενοι πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν λευκαί εἰσιν χῶραι πρὸς θερισμόν.
ἤδη γὰρ πολλοὶ ἐκ τῆς πόλεως ἐκείνης ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτὸν διὰ τὸν λόγον τῆς γυναικός.
