Against natures that alone can receive God’s words

Those who introduce different natures think to prove from this that only sons of God by nature can receive God’s words.

But as many as received the true light did not receive it by already being of God: he gave them authority to become children of God.

Δοκοῦσιν οἱ τὰς διαφόρους φύσεις εἰσάγοντες ἐντεῦθεν ἀποδεικνύναι ὅτι φύσει υἱοὶ θεοῦ μόνοι δεκτικοὶ τῶν τοῦ θεοῦ ῥημάτων.

Ἀλλ᾽ ὅσοι ἔλαβον τὸ φῶς τὸ ἀληθινόν, οὐ τῷ εἶναι ἐκ τοῦ θεοῦ εἰλήφασιν αὐτό· ἔδωκεν γὰρ αὐτοῖς ἐξουσίαν τέκνα θεοῦ γενέσθαι.
