Peter: You will never wash my feet
He comes to Simon Peter, who says, “Lord, are you washing my feet?” … “You will never wash my feet.”
We will use what Peter now says in due time as an example of human reverence.

Ἔρχεται πρὸς Σίμωνα Πέτρον· λέγει αὐτῷ· Κύριε, σύ μου νίπτεις τοὺς πόδας; … Οὐ μὴ νίψῃς μου τοὺς πόδας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.
Τοῖς νῦν ὑπὸ Πέτρου λεγομένοις ἐν καιρῷ χρησόμεθα παραδείγματος ἕνεκεν τῆς ἀνθρωπίνης αἰδοῦς.
