Jerusalem sinned; glory turned to dishonor; the soul in tossing

The sense of the wording is such. Because Jerusalem sinned a sin, she has come to be in tossing and confusion to such a degree that all who formerly glorified her, having changed, have dishonored such a city, having beheld her shame. And she herself, for the things she has suffered because of the sins—having fallen into tossing and into dishonor from those who once glorified her—groaning, has no longer gone forward into the sins, but having lessened them has withdrawn backward.

And after a little: And if such a soul is called Jerusalem—one skilled and sharp-sighted and able to understand the peace of God that surpasses every mind—since it is possible for many causes for this one to sin, it is shown that she has fallen over into tossing, having stood away from the good things and having come to be among the worse. And everyone who has fallen out of virtue and lives with wickedness is soundly said to be in tossing.
