ὑπερεῖδον, πρὸς σὲ δὲ μόνον ἐπήρεισά μου τὴν ὅλην πεποίθησιν, μὴ δὴ, ὁ Θεὸς, καταισχυναίμην δι' αἰῶνος. Μνησθεὶς δὲ τῆς συμφύ του δικαιοσύνης τῆς πᾶσι διανεμητικῆς τοῦ κατ' ἀξίαν, ῥῦσαί με τῶν ἐπιτιθεμένων ἀνθρώπων ἢ δια μόνων, καὶ τῆς αὐτῶν ἐξελοῦ σκαιότητος.
