On Pascha · §1.17

For you

It is clear that that month was not then a beginning of months for all the people, but only for Moses and Aaron, to whom it was said. For one must perfectly renounce the creation and this world, so as to grasp that one has almost been born another than what one was — in order to be able to hear: This month is for you a beginning of months; it is first for you among the months of the year.
