Beginning and first
And so that we may be led more fully to see what is being said, we shall take an example that will guide us to the thought. If some builder who has never built a house should come to building, we shall find in this house both the first and the beginning.

Καὶ ἵνα μᾶλλον ἐπαχθῶμεν ἰδεῖν τὸ λεγόμενον, παράδειγμα τι ληψόμεθα, ὃ ὁδηγήσει ἐπὶ τὸ νοούμενον ἡμᾶς· εἰ οἰκοδόμος τις μη||δέποτε οἰκοδομήσας οἰκίαν ἐπὶ τὸ οἰκοδομεῖν ἔλθοι, ἐπὶ ταύτης τῆς οἰκίας καὶ τὸ πρῶτον [κ]αὶ τὴν ἀρχὴν εὑρήσομ[εν].
