What the Passover means for Christians

That even to this day the Passover still takes place, and the sheep is sacrificed, and the people come out from Egypt — the apostle also teaches us, saying: "For our Passover also has been sacrificed, Christ; so let us keep the feast not with old leaven nor with leaven of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

Ὅτι δὲ καὶ μέχρι σήμερον [κ]αὶ τὸ πάσχα γίνεται καὶ τ[ὸ] πρόβατον θύεται καὶ ὁ λαὸς [ἐξ] Αἰγύπτου ἐξέρχεται, κα[ὶ ὁ ἀ]πόστολος ἡμᾶς διδάσκε[ι λέ]γων· "Καὶ γὰρ τὸ πάσχα ἡμ[ῶν] ἐτύθη X(ριστό)ς, ὥστε ἑορτάζω[με]ν μ[ὴ ζύ]μῃ παλαιᾷ μηδὲ ζ[ύμῃ] κα[κί]ας καὶ πονηρία[ς ἀλλὰ ἀζύ]μοις εἰλικριν[είας καὶ ἀληθε]ίας".
