Burning the remainder

And of those who heard and were in a way grieved, he said: "It is to your advantage that I go away; for unless the grain of wheat dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it bears much fruit," which he confesses with: "Behold I and the children whom God has given me."

Καὶ τῶν δὲ ἀκουσάντων καὶ τρόπῳ τινὶ λυπηθέντων, εἶπεν· "Συμφέρει ὑμῖν ἵνα ἐγὼ ἀπελθῶ· ὁ γὰρ κόκκος τοῦ σίτου ἐὰν μὴ ἀποθάνῃ, μόνος μένει, ἐὰν δὲ ἀποθάνῃ, πολὺν καρπὸν φέρει", ὅπερ ὁμολογεῖ <τῷ>· "Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ καὶ τὰ παιδία ἅ μοι ἔδωκεν ὁ θ(εό)ς.
