To whom the spiritual interpretation is spoken
The spiritual sense, then, I try to set out by the grace of God, so that the salvation completed in Christ, God's effective salvation, may become clear to those who love learning, as it is written: "As many as received him, he gave them authority to become children of God, who were born not of bloods nor of the will of flesh nor of the will of a man, but of God."
