On Pascha · §2.7

The taking and the keeping

For to these the salvation has come about through his blood, of Christ as of an unblemished lamb. For "as a sheep he was led to slaughter, and as a lamb before the one who shears it is voiceless, so he does not open his mouth. Who will recount his generation, because his life is taken from the earth, and from the lawlessness of his people he was led to his death. And I will give the poor in return for his death and the rich in return for his burial, because he did no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth."
