On Pascha · §2.9

The taking and the keeping

For as those were prefigured in a male sheep, so we in a human being who is as a lamb. As in a perfect one, so we in his fullness, he having completed the Father's will. As in a yearling, so at the end of ages — for as the year is a completing of months, so he too is a completing of law and prophets. As in an unblemished one, so in one without sin. As in the first month, so in the beginning of all creation, in which all things have been created. On the tenth, in the fullness of monarchy.
