Camp expulsion types soul-disease; leprosy assay begins
Cyril: Do you wish then with these also other manners of thoughts collecting-on, both the from defilements charges, and the upon each having-been-oracled toward cleansing we should explain?
Palladius: Very much so, for more-ample thus the benefit would work-out for us the upon this word.
Cyril: It has been written then in the Numbers: ‘And Lord spoke toward Moses, saying: Speak to the sons of Israel, and let them send-out from the camp every leper, and every gonorrheic, and every unclean upon a soul, from male unto female, send-out outside of the camp, and they will not defile their camps, in which I lodge in them.’ (Numbers 5:1-3) That on the one hand for the from necessity and unwillingly happening things, not would, I think, seem reasonably for the law to rebuke us, in these, for everyone clear; for it is punished instead of what, the passion of a body, and the from law denunciation how would it have just, the one having fallen-around fleshly weaknesses? Wise then therefore and necessary unto an image and type of the in souls diseases, to receive the bodily. For thus would be spiritual the law (Romans 7:14), and a holy vote the upon each from God according to seasons having-been-oracled, not the having-been-caught in unwilling diseases, leading-under the penalties, but for whom the of the to fault word, would have holy the rebuke.
Palladius: How well then you say.
Cyril: To send-away on the one hand from the camp he has ordered a leper, and most-thin very much upon him he makes the assay, and to be tested needing he orders the disease, saying thus: ‘And Lord spoke toward Moses and Aaron, saying: For a human if for someone should become in skin of his flesh a scar of a bright signaling, and should become in skin of his flesh a touch of leprosy, he will be led toward Aaron the priest, or one of his sons the priests; and the priest will see the touch in skin of his flesh, and the hair in the touch should change white, and’ (Leviticus 13:1-3)
