Matthew 6:21
What a person has set before himself, that he also thinks and works at most readily, and strives to set it right. This is found more clearly of the heart when he leads the saying from intelligible things out to sensible ones.

Ἔσο, φησὶν ὁ Χριστός, μὴ πρὸς τὸ λαμβάνειν ἕτοιμος, ἀλλὰ πρὸς τὸ διδόναι· τὸ μὲν γὰρ χωρίζει ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ θεοῦ, τὸ δὲ συνάπτειν πέφυκε καὶ μάλιστα, ὅταν ὁ αἰτῶν ἄξιος τυγχάνῃ καὶ δικαία ἡ αἴτησις.
