Loins girded
For if someone is athletic [...] competing and looking to those who are continent for the sake of a perishable contest, that they may receive a perishable contest, while he himself pursues an imperishable one to receive. For if someone should so gird the loin, he will also be able to leave none of the meats until morning.

Εἴ τις γὰρ ἀθλητικὸς ... τ ... λογον ε ... νως με..α ... δυ...αι των..ε ... εται..ν ... ις ἀγω[ν]ιζ[όμε]νος καὶ ἀφορῶν εἰς [τοὺς ἕ]νεκεν φθαρτοῦ ἀγῶ[νος ἐγ]κρατευομένους, ἵνα [φθαρ]τὸν ἀγῶνα λάβωσιν, [α]ὐτ[ὸς] δὲ ἄφθαρτον διώκων [λα]βεῖν. Εἰ γὰρ οὕτως περιζώσαιτό τις τὴν ὀσφύν, δυνήσεται καὶ μηδὲν τῶν κρεῶν καταλιπεῖν ἕως πρωΐ.
