Beginning and first
And perhaps John too, knowing this, began thus in the gospel: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God; this was in the beginning with God."

Καὶ τάχα [τοῦ]το καὶ ὁ Ἰωάννης ἐπιστάμ[ενος ἐ]ν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ οὕτω[ς ἤρ]ξατο· "Ἐν ἀρχῇ [ἦν ὁ] λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς [τὸν] θ(εό)ν, καὶ θ(εὸ)ς ἦν ὁ λόγος· οὗτος ἦν [ἐν] ἀρχῇ πρὸς τὸν θ(εό)ν".
