The name of the Passover
And this is enough said about the name itself, taken simply — enough for us to be taught what is signified by the name phas, and enough for us to be built up: not to throw ourselves rashly at the things said in Hebrew, attempting them without first having come to know the Hebrew interpretation. We shall now come to the examination of the very words. The Passover signifies crossing.
