Matthew 24:45–47
Faithful in teachings, prudent in work, and a most reasonable steward of fellow-slaves: for such a one will share in the master’s whole kingdom. That is what “he will set him over all his belongings” makes clear. He does not say who this is, but speaks indefinitely, to show how scarce and precious right teachers are. He rightly requires both; if either is missing, the other limps.
