Matthew 26:18
By saying “so-and-so” he does not make a name clear specifically, but obliquely indicates one of the holy. For the word also fits every holy person, who first receives the Lord’s disciples — evangelists and apostles leveling his soul beforehand — and then Christ himself, who will come not as one called but of his own accord, dwelling with the Holy Spirit beside the one with whom he sees the holy baptism. For that is what “the man carrying the jar of water” makes clear, as Mark and Luke say.

Υἱὸν γεέννης φησὶ τὸν ἀπολλύμενον ἐξ ἀπιστίας ὡς δυσσεβείας εἰς τοῦτο κατολισθεῖν καὶ εἰς τοῦτο παρανομίας ἀφικέσθαι μέτρον ὡς ἀμεσίτευτον ἔχειν πρὸς φλόγα τὴν οἰκειότητα καὶ μονονουχὶ συγγένειαν τὴν πρὸς <τὸ τὰς> αἰκίας ἀναμφιλόγως διενεγκεῖν.
